Foreign degree

If you have a degree from another country, you may need a recognition decision to work or study in Finland.

If you want to work in a regulated profession or job that requires a certain level of higher education qualification, you need a recognition decision from the National Board of Education or another authority. In most situations, the employer, educational institution or higher education institution will assess the qualifications and skills that your foreign qualification has provided.
