Kotka Day will be celebrated on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Kotka market square. Guidance and counseling for immigrants will also be present. Come and meet us and ask about anything on your mind! We will also provide information about the International Kotka–Hamina website.
The Kotka Day program begins at 10:00, when the presentation tents open. Various city departments and partners will showcase their activities. You can follow performances on the main stage and get information about services and events in Kotka.
The Kotka award will be presented at 12:00, and the chair of the city council, Jouko Rauhala, will give a speech. The presentation tents will close at 14:00.
Participants include, for example, sports services, the wellbeing and employment sector, the Kymenlaakso Museum, and the mobile library. In addition, Satama Areena, Kymi Sinfonietta, Kotka City Theatre, Theatre Group Kimara, Maritime Days and Children’s Maritime Days, and the Multicultural activity sentre Mylly will present their activities.
