Social orientation courses offer people who have recently moved to Finland the opportunity to familiarise themselves with Finnish society in their own language, as well as to learn about everyday life, services, studying and working life in Finland. Ekami – The Joint Authority of Education of Kotka-Hamina Region is organising social orientation courses in Ukrainian and English in December.

The social orientation courses are primarily intended for clients currently in the integration period. If there are places available on the courses, other immigrants may also take part.

Both the Ukrainian-language and English-language orientation courses will take place from 1 to 17 December 2026 at Ekami’s Koteko campus in Kotka. The courses last a total of 12 days, with lessons taking place on weekdays from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm.

The course utilises a variety of learning methods, such as team-based learning and collaborative work. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to discuss current affairs and attend presentations by guest speakers.

Sign up to learn about Finnish society and get off to a good start in life in Finland!
